Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an interpolation point generating method which can easily perform the interpolation to prescribe a curve that can secure the smooth connection between the start and end points via a relay point when three continuous points (start, relay and end points) are given.
CONSTITUTION: A point Q symmetrical to a start point P1 is secured for a relay point P2. Then the dividing points t1, t2...tn-1 (n= natrual number + 1) are secured between a middle point t0 and an point P3 of a straight line connecting both points Q and P3. An interpolation point si is set at a position distant from the point P2 set on a straight line connecting the point P2 and a dividing point ti by an extent equal to (distance between P2 and ti).(distance between t0 and ti)/-(distance between t0 and P3). This operation is repeated until i=1...n-l is satisfied.
