Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of missing color and uneven color with simple circuit constitution by discriminating a monochroic color area and a color area based on a color data and a density data corresponding to a block area of a prescribed size comprising a noted single area and a surrounding signal area of an original. CONSTITUTION:An output signal S0 of a color image sensor 51 is inputted to a shading section 102 via an A/D converter section 101, in which shading is corrected and the resulting data is inputted to a correction section 103 and the timing of R, G, B data with respect to a same position of an original D is adjusted. A color discrimination section 104 generates a color data dc and a density data dn in the unit of picture elements based on the R, G, B data with respect to one picture element in the unit of picture elements, they are fed to a pitch conversion section 105, in which a color data and a density data corresponding to the erase single area are generated. An area discrimination section discriminates the noted area into the color area and the monochroic area based on the color data and the density data with respect to the noted erase unit area and the surrounding area, a conversion section 107 discriminates the border area based on the discrimination data and outputs an area data DX to an edit eraser 5.
