PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intra prediction encoding method and intra prediction decoding method of an image, and an apparatus therefor.SOLUTION: A method includes: dividing a current picture into at least one block having a predetermined size; determining, among pixels of a previously decoded neighboring block, a pixel of the neighboring block utilized for prediction of each pixel inside a current block, by utilizing an extended line having a predetermined gradient about each pixel inside the current block; and predicting each pixel inside the current block by utilizing the determined pixel of the neighboring block.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 19
