Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an intraocular implant for transplantation into the eye via a small incised section formed in an intraocular tissue, and obtain desired light transmission via the provision of a shading section at an optical zone section.
CONSTITUTION: This intraocular implant is characteristic in that an optical zone section is deformable within 80% or less, and after the deformation, the preset focal distance can be restored. Also, the optical zone section of the implant has a deformable periphery support ring 45 and a colored or shaded peripheral section 46 to form a substantially continuous surrounding flange.
