PURPOSE: To obtain an inverter in which only an AC component is shared by a current balancer by a method wherein AC output terminals of unit inverters are connected in parallel via a series circuit which is composed of the current balancer and of a capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: A series circuit is constituted of current balancers 4, 5 and of capacitors 7, 8, 9, 10. Consequently, even when output voltages of unit inverters 2, 3 which are connected in parallel with the series circuit contain a DC component due to an irregularity in semiconductor switching elements for the current balancers 4, 5, the DC component is shared wholly by the capacitors 7 to 10, and only an AC component is applied to the current balancers 4, 5. Thereby, the DC biased magnetization of the current balancers 4, 5 can be prevented, and a balancer function is not spoiled.
