To provide an inverter controller which is free of restriction on operation in such a way that it needs to be kept operating continuously with a certain number of revolutions so as to accurately detect its mechanical position, by enabling it to quickly and accurately detect the mechanical position even if it is immediately after start where load torque pulsation is small or even in a region where the number of revolutions is relatively high.
This inverter controller is equipped with a load torque reference position estimating part which estimates a reference torque reference position, using a parameter in correlation with load torque, a load torque reference position estimate which is estimated by the load torque reference position estimating part, a load torque reference position deciding part which decides the load torque reference position by the stipulated relation of the mechanical position of a load element, and a load torque compensating pattern calculating part which compensates the load torque ripple per revolution. This compensates the output voltage or currents of an inverter, using a load torque compensating pattern which is calculated in the load torque compensating pattern calculating part, on the basis of the load torque reference position decided by the load torque reference position deciding part.
