Title:
INVERTER CURRENT DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002112558
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an inverter current detector which requires only a small number of circuit components, facilitates integration, and requires only little power consumption.

This inverter current detector has a pair of current sensors 1 and 2, which detect two phase currents among three-phase currents outputted from a 3-phase inverter, voltage-current conversion circuits 3011 and 3021 which detect a U-phase current and a W-phase current which are proportional to the output signals of the current sensors 1 and 2, full-wave rectifier circuits 16, 26 and 36 which practice the full-wave rectification of the U-phase current and the W-phase current respectively and practice the full-wave rectification of the summation of the full-wave rectified U-phase and W-phase currents, current-voltage conversion circuits 3013, 3023 and 3033 which convert the respective absolute values of the U-phase current, the W-phase current and the summation outputted from the full-wave rectifier circuits 16, 26 and 36 into signal voltages with their common potential as a reference, and a selection circuit 304, which selects and outputs the highest signal voltage among the respective signal voltages.
