To provide an investigation method for obtaining ground information capable of carrying out speedily original position ground investigation as to CE or the like of main information obtained in the ground investigation by one kind of a device while being inserted up to an investigation depth without requiring up-and-down operation, applicable to a variety of the ground, and light in weight.
The investigation method for obtaining the ground information is constituted to insert a resistant body of which one part or the whole at a side face serves as a shearing face with the ground, having the side face of roughness capable of preventing the ground contacting with a surface thereof from being slipped, and comprising a solid or hollow truncated cone or an arc-shaped member including a lacked cross-sectional shape where an angle formed of an insertion direction and the side face of the resistant body is 5° or smaller at an upper outside from a tip of the resistant body, or a resistant body comprising an H-shaped cross section having 5° or smaller of a flange angle to shear-fracture the ground by the rough side face while generating a transverse-directional ground reaction, and to obtain the ground information as to strength and deformation by measuring a plurality of sets of displacement, ground reactions and shearing forces.
