To provide an ionic conductor having high mechanical strength and high ionic conductivity.
This ionic conductor comprises an ion-conducting electrolyte salt, an ion-conductive molecule and a structural material, wherein the ion- conductive molecule contains an ion-conducting molecular chain concerned with ionic conduction and a boroxine ring bonded to the ion-conducting molecular chain and capable of acquiring an anion of the ion-conducting electrolyte salt, and the structural material is concerned with dispersing and fixing the ion-conductive molecule and the ion-conducting electrolyte salt. Thus, high mechanical strength of the ionic conductor is given by the structural material and ionic conductivity thereof is given by the ion-conductive molecule.
