Abstract:

To provide an ion conductivity imparting-agent for an anode catalyst layer of an anion exchange membrane fuel cell, good in conformability of a hydrocarbon-based anion exchange membrane and an anode catalyst layer at a junction interface therebetween, and high in initial performance, and further to provide an ion conductivity-imparting agent hardly deteriorated in performance even after long-term use.

In an ion conductivity-imparting agent for use in forming an anode catalyst layer of an anion exchange membrane fuel cell, an ion conductivity-imparting agent comprising a hydrocarbon-based anion exchange resin having an anion exchange capacity of 1.8-3.5 mmol/g is used.
