Abstract:

To diffuse the sufficient amount of cations and anions into a room by improving arrangement and a driving method for a plurality of ion generators to be arranged in a conduction passage.

The first and second ion generators 17, 18 are arranged side by side in a conduction passage direction in the duct 6 of an ion diffusion apparatus 1. The ion generates 17, 18 are arranged so as to allow the polarities of the ion generating parts 17A, 17B, and 18A, 18B, which are arranged in the respective ion generators, to be alternately inverted. As operation modes, the ion diffusion apparatus 1 has an alternate driving mode for alternately driving the first ion generator 17 and the second ion generator 18, and a whole driving mode for simultaneously and continuously driving the first and second ion generators 17, 18.
