To provide an ion eluting unit capable of being used without damaging an electrode and exerting no effect on the electrode on a downstream side even if the electrode is chipped and fallen, and an instrument loaded with the ion eluting unit capable of efficiently operating the ion eluting unit.
The ion eluting unit 100 is constituted so that voltage is applied across electrodes 113 and 114 to produce metal ions. A strainer 180 is arranged on the upstream side of the electrode 113 and 114 and a strainer 181 is arranged on the downstream side of them. The strainer 180 provided to the water supply valve 50 of a washing machine 1 is also used as the upstream strainer of the ion eluting unit 100. The water supply valve 50 is constituted of a main water supply valve 50a set to a large flow rate and a sub-water supply valve 50b set to a low flow rate, and the ion eluting unit 100 is arranged to a main water supply route 52a connected to the main water supply valve 50a.
