Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion engine test device which cools a cryopanel with simple equipment constitution without using a large size helium refrigerator.SOLUTION: An ion engine test device 1 according to the invention jets an ion beam from an ion engine 9 toward a beam target 7 installed in a vacuum tank 5, in which a shroud kept in an ultralow temperature is provided, to conduct a test of the ion engine. The ion engine test device 1 includes: a cylindrical cryopanel 11 which is provided along an inner peripheral surface of the vacuum tank 5 in a space between the ion engine 9 and the beam target 7; and a direct attachment type refrigerator 13 which cools the cryopanel 11.
