To provide an ion generating device capable of reducing the radiating noise leaking to the outside of the device, and capable of reducing the size of the device configuration.

The ion generating device 1 comprises: an ion generating element 2; a booster coil 25 for generating a driving voltage for driving the ion generating element 2; a circuit board on which the booster coil 25 is mounted; a shield case 31 having a conductive wall surrounding the booster coil 25; and an insulating housing 17 having an ion-generating-element-mounting section 18 outside, with the ion generating element 2 mounted thereon, and covering the periphery of the shield case 31 and at least part of the periphery of the circuit board 21. The ion generating element 2 and the booster coil 25 are opposed to each other, with the wall of the shield case 31 interposed therebetween.
