Abstract:
To provide an ion generator that can solve a problem in which, conventionally, a corona discharge plasma method using a needle electrode and a dielectric barrier discharge plasma method have been used for an ion generation device mounted on a static eliminator, an air purifier, or the like, however, the former has a problem of wear of the needle electrode, and the latter has a problem of inferior ion generation performance as compared with the needle electrode method.SOLUTION: An ion generation device includes a first ungrounded electrode, a grounded electrode coated with a dielectric, and a first power supply that applies an AC voltage between the first ungrounded electrode and the grounded electrode, and further includes a second ungrounded electrode that faces the grounded electrode and the first ungrounded electrode and is arranged at a distance from the grounded electrode, and a second power source that applies a DC voltage or an AC voltage between the second ungrounded electrode and the grounded electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
