CONSTITUTION: In an ion generator for electrostatic recording, a plurality of first electrodes extend in parallel to the direction vertical to the surface of a drawing and a plurality of second electrodes 4 extend in the direction different from that of the electrodes 2 and the second electrodes 4 have the apertures corresponding to the first electrodes 2 and a dielectric layer 3 is held between the first and second electrodes 2, 4. Third electrodes 6 are arranged on the side opposite to the second electrodes 4 and the first electrodes 2 and have the apertures corresponding to the apertures of the second electrodes 4 and insulating layers 5 are held between both electrodes 4, 6. In this case, the dielectric layer 3 and the second electrodes 4 are strongly fixed through an adhesive layer composed of a silicone adhesive.
