Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an element which has good responsiveness and is free from chipping and cracking by using lanthanum fluoride or cerium fluoride as the essential component thereof and incorporating at least one kind of rear earths and strontium fluoride into a sintered body.
CONSTITUTION: The sintered body which consists essentially of the lanthanum fluoride or cerium fluoride and contains at least one kind of the rear earths and the strontium fluoride is prepd. The amt. of the rear earth elements to be added is preferably 0.001W1.0mol% an the amt. of the strontium fluoride to be added is 0.001W5.0mol%. The lanthanum fluoride and cerium fluoride may be used in combination.
