Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a necessary level of the removal efficiency of cation from a coolant immediately after manufacture of a cooling circuit and also to keep a necessary level of the removal efficiency of anion from the coolant after a certain length of time passed immediately after the manufacture of the cooling circuit.SOLUTION: An inflow hole 11 and an outflow hole 12 are provided in a lower part of a case 10 of an ion exchanger 5. An upper end of a first flow passage 14 between an inner wall of the case 10 and an outer wall of a tube member 16 is connected to an upper end of a second flow passage 15 inside the tube member 16. One of lower ends of the first flow passage 14 and the second flow passage 15 is connected to the inflow hole 11, and the other is connected to the outflow hole 12. In the first flow passage 14, an upper-stage housing part 14b in which a cation exchange resin is loaded is provided adjacently to an upper end of a lower-stage housing part 14a in which an anion exchange resin is loaded. A capacity and a coolant circulation area of the upper-stage housing part 14b are formed to be smaller than those of the lower-stage housing part 14a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
