Title:
IONIC MIGRATION DEVICE WITH ROTATING MAGNETIC POLE AND SUPERCONDUCTIVE DEVICE WITH NON-ELECTRODE TYPE IONIC MIGRATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03243164
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To farm a DC circuit in a liquid and migrate charge particles without using electrodes by rotating a cylindrical magnetic pole around its axis by an other force, and magnetically shielding the other end of the pole with a 'U' or 'E' shaped ferromagnetic material.

CONSTITUTION: A circular water bath is divided into three rooms 9, 10 and 11 by a positive ion exchange membrane 6, a negative ion exchange membrane 7 and a combined positive and negative ion exchange membrane 8. The room 9 contains 10% brine, the rooms 10 and 11 contain demineralized water and, when an ionic migration device is installed and a magnetic pole 1 is rotated for about 30 minutes, a qualitative analysis confirms that sodium hydroxide is produced in the room 10 and hydrochloric acid is produced in the room 11. Since the both ends of a magnet is made rotatable on the rotating magnetic pole ionic migration device, the number of lines of magnetic force which cause counter electromotive force, can be reduced. This can eliminate the provision of a magnetic shield and make an effective migration device for charged particles such as ion, etc., and DC electromotive device.
