PURPOSE: To efficiently cool formed alkaline ionic water by continuously cooling formed alkaline ionic water by a Peltier element and making the amt. of water flowing to the radiation side of the Peltier element larger than that of water flowing to the cooling side thereof.

CONSTITUTION: When a cooling switch 8 is closed, a current flows to a flow reducing solenoid valve 17, Peltier elements 18a, 18b and a three-way solenoid valve 23. The tap water from a tap water inlet passage 13 passes through a cartridge 15 to be purified and is reduced in flow rate by the flow reducing solenoid valve 17 to be electrolyzed in an electrolytic cell 10. Acidic ionic water is formed on the side of the anode 11 to be drained from an acidic ionic water outlet 4. Alkaline ionic water formed on the side of a cathode is sent to Peltier elements 18a, 18b through the three-way solenoid valve 23. The amt. of water flowing to the cooling sides 26a, 26b of the Peltier elements 18a, 18b becomes smaller than that of water flowing to the radiation sides 25a, 25b thereof by a constricted part 24. The water channels on the cooling sides 26a, 26b are connected in series and ion water is obtained from a cooling water outlet 27.
