Abstract:
To reduce the consumption of power that is supplied to a heater used to heat gas, in an ionizer in which a liquid sample is sprayed and ionized and a mass spectrometer including the ionizer.SOLUTION: A mass spectrometer includes: a housing 110 provided with a space inside constituting an ionization chamber; a sample spray probe 111 fixed to the housing and spraying a liquid sample, as charged droplets, into the ionization chamber; a heated gas supply probe 112 into which a predetermined type of gas is introduced and which has a heating part 1121 with a heater arranged therein and a blowing part 1122 which blows gas heated by the heating part into the ionization chamber, the heated gas supply probe being fixed such that the heating part is located outside the housing; a power supply part 1126 which supplies power to the heater; a heating part reflector 114 which is provided to surround the heating part and whose surface facing the heating part is mirror-finished; and heat transfer members 115, 116, 117 which connect the housing and the heating part reflector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
