Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ionomer composition, comprising a specific ionomer and a polyamine, excellent in mechanical characteristics such as rigidity, fluidity and heat stability, capable of preventing smoking, malodor and coloring in molding without causing the bleed out of the amine onto the molding surface and useful as an automotive molding, etc.
SOLUTION: This ionomer composition comprises (A) 80-99.9wt.% ionomer of an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer such as an ethylene-(meth) acrylic acid copolymer (e.g. an alkali metallic ionomer or a bivalent metallic ionomer) and (B) 20-0.1 pt.wt. compound of the formula H2N-[CH2-R-CH2NHCH2 CH(OH)CH2NH]n-CH2-R-CH2NH2 [R is a bivalent alicyclic or an aromatic hydrocarbon group; (n) is 1-20], preferably at 0.05-1 molar ratio BA/AC of the amino groups (BA) of the component (B) to carboxyl groups (AC) of the component (A).
