Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ionomer composition having excellent scratch resistance and impact resistance being characteristics of ionomers, improved in combined properties of heat resistance, flexibility, processability and surface gloss.
SOLUTION: This ionomer composition is obtained by mixing (A) 100 pts.wt. of an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer having ≥100°C melting point or its ionomer with (B) 50-400 pts.wt. of an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer having <100°C melting point and ≤100 MPa stiffness modulus, (C) 2-50 pts.wt. of a copolymer of an α-olefin and glycidyl (meth)acrylate and (D) 10-100 pts.wt. of an ethylene/α-olefin random copolymer, and has ≤100 MPa modulus in flexure, ≥10 MPa strength at break point and ≥500% elongation.
