Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP router device equipped with a function for terminating a TCP connection, with which global connectivity is guaranteed.
SOLUTION: When plural IP packets forming a TCP connection to be repeated pass through a router device 1, converting means 1 and 4 cooperate with a TCP connection managing data base 15 and rewrite one part of IP address information and port number information in the packets according to prescribed rules. A stream linking means 14 extracts information showing the original connection destination of the TCP connection from the packets and links two TCP connections through a stream. Converting means 2 and 3 cooperate with the managing data base 15 and rewrite one part of IP address information and port number information in the plural IP packets according to prescribed rules so as to form the TCP connection to the original connection destination.
