Abstract:

To provide a superalloy having a high melting point and excellent creep characteristics and sufficient room-temperature ductility which is usable as a member of high-temperature equipment such as a jet engine, rocket engine, gas turbine for power generation, turbine vane, turbine blade, space shuttle engine which is used in a high temperature and high stress.

The superalloy is obtained by heat-treating an iridium based superalloy obtained by adding 19-22 at% tungsten to iridium at 1,400-1,800°C.
