To provide a method for performing the insulation treatment of the edge face of an iron core having extremely excellent insulation property, corrosion resistance, adhesion, heat resistance, effect of improving magnetic property or the like without performing a pretreatment such as degreasing cleaning and annealing at low temperature in a short time.
The iron core having excellent insulation property of the edge face has an insulation film consisting of a dry film of a pure silicon polymer, a modified silicon polymer and/or a mixed silicon polymer as silicon compounds and having a mean film thickness of ≥2 μm, a voltage resistance of ≥30 V and a heat resistance in the air of ≥400°C at the edge face of the iron core. In the manufacturing method therefor, after the formation of the iron core, immersion treatment and spray treatment are performed by using one or more kinds selected from the pure silicon polymer, the modified silicon polymer and/or the mixed silicon polymer as an insulation film agent.
