Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized irreversible circuit element that has a large attenuation at a prescribed frequency band at a low cost and incorporates at least an inductor for a filter, an irreversible circuit configured with the irreversible circuit element and a communication unit using the circuit.
SOLUTION: An irreversible circuit is configured such that center conductors 51, 52, 53 are placed in crossing with each other on a ferrite 54 to which a DC magnetic field is applied and matching capacitors C1, C2, C3 are respectively connected to port sections P1, P2, P3 of the center conductors 51, 52, 53. A solenoidal inductor Lf is connected between the port section P1 of the center conductor 51 and a signal input output terminal 71, and the inductor Lf is placed in a way that the direction of magnetic flux produced by the inductor Lf and passing through the ferrite 54 is nearly perpendicular to the direction of the DC magnetic field applied to the ferrite 54.
