Abstract:

To obtain a herbicide having an excellently herbicidal effect on weeds in a paddy field and a field such as barn grass, Scirpus juncoides, Monochoria vaginalis, etc.

This isoxazoline derivative is represented by general formula (I) [R1, 2 and R3 are each H, a halogen, NO2, CN, OH, a (halo)(1-8C)alkyl, a (halo)(2-8C)alkenyl, amino, an amino(1-8C)alkyl, a (substituted) phenyl, a (substituted) phenyoxy, a (substituted) phenylthio, a (substituted) phenyl (1-8C) alkyoxy or the like; R2+R3 is a (2-8C)alkylene; R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are each H, a (halo)(1-8C)alkyl, a (halo)(2-6)alkyenyl, a (substituted) phenyl or a (substituted) phenyl (1-8C)alkyl; R4+R5, R5+R6 and R6 and R7 are each a (2-6C alkylene); R9 is a (substituted) phenyl, a (substituted) naphthyl, a (substituted) pyridyl, a (substituted) thienyl, a (substituted) furyl or the like]. This herbicide comprises the compound as an active ingredient. This method for using the herbicide is provided.
