PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method capable of maintaining a form of a conical roller bearing while an inner ring, a conical roller, a retainer, and an outer ring are integrally assembled in the conical roller bearing.SOLUTION: The method for assembling a conical roller bearing includes a first step where the inner ring 11 that includes a conical inner ring raceway 11a and a small flange part 11b and a large flange part 11c provided on both sides in an axial direction of the inner ring raceway 11a, the outer ring 12 having a conical outer ring raceway 12a, a plurality of conical rollers 13 arranged between the inner ring raceway 11a and the outer ring raceway 12a, and the retainer 14 for maintaining the clearance in a circumferential direction of the plurality of conical rollers 13 are integrally assembled; and a second step of regulating a relative movement of the conical rollers 13 on a side of a large end face 13b with respect to the outer ring 12.
