Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scratches or abrasion due to contact of a retainer onto an outer ring raceway surface of an outer ring and an inner ring raceway surface of an inner ring even when a whirling amount of the retainer is large.SOLUTION: A conical roller bearing has a collar part 13b projecting outward in a radial direction only at a large-diameter side end of an inner ring 13, and a small-diameter projection part 13c projecting in an axial direction on a small diameter side of the inner ring. The outside diameter of the small diameter projection part is positioned nearer the inside diameter than the outside diameter of the small diameter side end of the inner ring raceway surface 13a of the inner ring, and an end face of the small diameter side projection part projects nearer the small diameter side than the small diameter side end face of a retainer 20. A contact angle is 35° or more, which is a high contact angle. Axial dimension of an inner diameter face of the inner ring is defined to satisfy following formulae: Q+P>0.7 Lw×cosα, Q>P, T>Q+P+0.7 Lw×cosα. Here, P: large collar axial dimension, Q: axial dimension of the small diameter side projection part, T: axial dimension of the conical roller bearing, Lw×cosα: axial dimension immediately under the conical roller, and Lw: length of the conical roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
