Abstract:

To provide a new itch-therapeutic agent.

The itch-therapeutic agent includes a compound selectively inhibiting glutamic acid receptor, preferably a compound selectively inhibiting the NMDA type receptor as an active ingredient. The itch-therapeutic agent can control the skin-scratching motions by suppressing the skin peripheral sensory nerve activity. Consequently, this drug is useful as an itch-therapeutic agent.
