Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when there are various ways of "reading" of Chinese characters such as the surname or name of a person, all the "reading" of those Chinese characters is not displayable by a reconversion function for checking "reading" of Chinese characters in a Kana/Chinese character conversion type Japanese input system (system specified by JISX4064), and that the "reading" of the Chinese characters is not displayed unless they are fully coincident.SOLUTION: In a Kana/Chinese character conversion type Japanese input system, a "Chinese character/Kana conversion" key is arranged as a logical key, and when this key is depressed, a "Chinese character/Kana conversion" function is executed. The Chinese characters displayed on a screen in text creation software or the like are highlighted, and when the "Chinese character/Kana conversion" key is depressed, all words and phrases in a dictionary for conversion are searched to check whether or not the Chinese characters are present, and a character string of all the words and phrases which are completely coincident and partially coincident and its "reading" are extracted so that all the various ways of "reading" of the Chinese characters such as the surname or name of a person can be displayed.
