PURPOSE: To provide a Japanese sentence analyzing device with which the relation of cause and effect such as the reason or purpose of a Japanese sentence can be widely and suitably analyzed.
CONSTITUTION: Concerning a word expressing the relation of cause and effect by respective parts of speech such as a noun, verb, conjunction and conjunctive postpositional particle, the kind of the relation of cause and effect (such as factor, reason, result and purpose) is described in a cause-and-effect relation expressing word dictionary 110, and various kinds of cause-and-effect relation analystic rules for the many-sided analysis of the relation of cause and effect are stored in a cause-and-effect relation analystic rule storage part 111. Concerning the Japanese sentence inputted from a Japanese sentence input part 101, morpheme analysis by a morpheme analysis part 102, modification analysis by a modification analysis part 103 and semantic analysis by a semantic analysis part 104 are performed while using syntax/semantic analystic rules in a word dictionary 107 and a syntax/semantic analystic rule storage part 108 and concerning the analyzed result stored in an analyzed result storage part 105, a cause-and-effect relation analyzing part 109 links the relation of cause and effect by detecting the expression of the relation of cause and effect while using cause-and-effect relation analystic rules in the cause-and-effect relation expressing word dictionary 110 and the cause-and-effect relation analystic rule storage part 111.
