Title:
JAPANESE WORD PROCESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6160167
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate easy discrimination of homonyms in a voiced reading mode and to attain the collation between an original and an input sentence, by providing a key for aural comments and making use of the meaning information in a word dictionary. CONSTITUTION:When a voiced reading key on a keyboard is pushed, a central arithmetic unit 2 detects the push of the key and sends the KANJI (Chinese characters)-KANA (Japanese syllabary) mixture sentences stored in the 1st memory 3 to a voice synthesizer 6 successively. The presence or absence of homonyms is checked for KANJI with reference to a word dictionary 5. In case the homonyms exist, the unit 2 reads the meaning information on KANJI out of the dictionary 5 and puts punctuation marks immediately after KANJI to send the meaning information to the synthesizer 6. Then the meaning information is delivered in voices and with comments. Thus a user can obtain the meaning information on the homonyms just by listening the output voices and can detect easily the errors of KANA/KANJI conversion.
