To prevent a toggle plate from being dropped off when adjustment of an outlet clearance is performed in a jaw crusher provided with a fixed tooth, a movement tooth, a toggle block for supporting the movement tooth through the toggle plate, an adjustment cylinder for performing position adjustment of the toggle block and a retaining cylinder for retaining the toggle plate.
The jaw crusher is provided with an accumulator 39 for compensating a toggle plate retaining pressure of the retaining cylinder 21 during operation of the jaw crusher, and a counter balance valve 43 for reducing a pressure of a retaining cylinder rod side oil chamber 21a to a low set pressure not more than the lowest operation pressure of the accumulator 39 at feeding of a pressurized oil to head side oil chambers 20b, 20b of the adjustment cylinders 20A, 20B. When the movement tooth 14 is moved in a direction narrowing the outlet clearance accompanying feeding of the pressurized feeding to the adjustment cylinder head side oil chambers 20b, 20b, the retaining cylinder 21 is stretched by external force by movement of the movement tooth 14.
