To provide a compact jaw crusher which can obtain large crushing force even when the hydraulic cylinder of a small diameter and is excellent in productivity of crushed products.

The jaw crusher 1 for crushing objects to be crushed fed into a crushing chamber C between a fixed jaw 3 and a swing jaw 4 by a double toggle mechanism 10 provided between a front toggle sheet 6 and a rear toggle sheet 9 and provided with a front toggle plate 11 and a rear toggle plate 12 is configured such that the opposing sides of the front toggle plate 11 and the rear toggle plate 12 constituting the double toggle mechanism 10 are synchronously operated by the hydraulic cylinder 20 whose head side is connected to the back surface side of the swing jaw 4.
