Abstract:
To provide a jaw motion measuring method high in accuracy and easily carried out at a low cost without imposing a burden on a subject.
Markers are mounted into a measuring position near the lower jaw of the subject and into a relative position to be the reference, and the state of the subject making jaw motion is photographed by a video camera. On the basis of the photographed animation image data, the displacement of the measuring position and relative position is measured, and the displacement quantity of the relative position is subtracted from the displacement quantity of the measuring position to compute the displacement of the measuring position based only on jaw motion which does not include the movement or the like of the head.
