Title:
JIB END STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3229743
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To lower the center of gravity and ensure high safety of attachment/ removal work by pivoting the mounting bracket of a sheave for lifting load rope to the body end of a jib, and mounting a means for retreating the sheave to an upper position than a horizontal plane with which a roller comes into rolling contact while the jib is being attached/removed.
CONSTITUTION: The mounting bracket 22 of a sheave 5 for lifting load rope is pivoted to the body end 21 of a jib 4 so as to rotate smoothly with a pin 23 which is orthogonal to the boom derricking surface of the jib 4. To the mounting bracket 22, such a rotational amount as the lower end of the sheave 5 for lifting load rope can be retreated at least more upwards than the horizontal surface with which a roller 6 comes into rolling contact is applied. The mounting bracket 22 brings its collision part 25 into the collision contact part 24 of the body end 21 to regulate the rotation in the non-retreat direction. It is thus possible to decrease the height of a leg part 26 in the roller 6 so that the body end 21 may be brought into no contact with the ground for the lower center of gravity, and support the end of the jib 4 stably with the roller 6 for improved safety.
