PURPOSE: To economically enhance a tooth brushing effect by freely replaceably fitting a brush head having an opening in one part thereof into a shaft which is made of a semiconductor and fitted via a jig into an output shaft projecting from the main body of a motor-driven brush having built-in batteries and a motor.
CONSTITUTION: The fitting hole 1b of an attaching jig B is fitted over an output shaft P projecting from a toothbrush main body A having built-in batteries and a motor. The outer periphery of the holding portion 1d of the jig main body 1 of the jig B is fitted into the held portion 3a of a brush head 3. Brushes 4 are set in the end of the brush head 3 and an opening 3f is provided in part of the brush head 3. A shaft 2 made of a semiconductor is fitted into the holding portion 1d of the jig main body B and the brush head 3 is fitted around the outside of the shaft 2 to take in light rays through the opening 3f. In brushing teeth, light impinging through the opening 3f on the shaft 2 made of semiconductor is subjected to photoelectric conversion by the saliva and water and electrons work on the teeth. Dental caries and the alveolar abscess can thus be prevented.
