Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a slider of in IC socket to be moved approx. horizontally by exerting an approx. horizontal pushing force only on the slider.
CONSTITUTION: A base plate 21 is disposed at an upper part of an IC socket. A working plate 27 having a claw 27a contactable with a slider of the socket is approx. horizontally movably mounted on the plate 21. Between the base plate and working plate a leaf spring 29 is disposed to elastically press the claw of the plate 27 in approx. the same direction as the moving direction of the slider. Above the plate 21 a gripper 35 is coupled vertically movably with the plate 21 and provided with a cam block 38 having cam grooves 39. The plate 27 has guide pins 27e acting on the cam grooves. When the gripper is depressed to the plate 21, by the action of the guide pins on the cam grooves, the claw of the plate 27 moves in approx. the same direction as the moving direction of the slider against the spring force of the spring means to thereby push the slider outwards or inwards to do an open or close action.
