Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mechanic to surely and easily view and measure the length between the centers of the front and rear wheels of an automobile even during repair work. SOLUTION: A part coupled to the outside of a rear wheel 11 is formed into a first jig member 12, and a part coupled to the outside of a front wheel 13 is formed into a second jig member 14; with the fitting element of the first jig member 12 being positioned at the center of the rear wheel 11 and the fitting element of the second jig member 14 positioned at the center of the front wheel 13, a tape measure 38 is drawn out toward the first jig member 12 from a main body stored in a tape measure compartment in the second jig member 14, and the end of the tape measure 38 is anchored to the center of the rear wheel 11 at the first jig member 12. As a result, the tape measure 38 is spread between the front wheel 13 and the rear wheel 11, and the wheel-to-wheel length can be measured readily by viewing the reading on the tape measure 3B which is pointed by a pointer part.
