Abstract:

PURPOSE:To perform the working of jigsaw with high operability and high efficiency by giving the working conditions on the cutting way, the plate thickness, etc. to an input device to select the optimum working conditions including an optimum blades, an optimum orbital positions, etc. CONSTITUTION:The data on the wood, the plywood, the soft or hard plastic, a ferrous or non-ferrous metal, the rough or fine finishing, the rectilinear or curved cutting, and the plate thickness are supplied to an input device 6. Then the data on the blade number, the number of orbital position strokes and the presence or absence of lubrication are selected out of the table data stored in an ROM of a microcomputer 15. These selected data are displayed. An operator selects the designated blade based on the displayed output data, switching the orbital position by a changing knob 7 and sets the number of strokes by means of a variable resistor 161 containing a control knob. Thus a jigsaw operation is possible under the optimum conditions.
