To strongly join a metal-ceramic composite material to the same or different kind of a material by joining the metal-ceramic composite material using an Al alloy as a matrix to the same or different kind of the material through a brazing material comprising Si, Cu, Sn and Al in specific amounts, respectively.
Both the above materials are joined to each other through the brazing material comprising a 2-10 wt.% of Si, 3-15 wt.% of Cu, 5-50 wt.% of Sn and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. The brazing material preferably contains Al in an amount of ≥40 wt.% and preferably has a Rockwell hardness of HRB 40 or smaller. The brazing material increases its liquid phase at ≥500°C to activate the mutual diffusion of components between the joined materials and the brazing material, and can strongly join the materials even at a joining temperature of ≤530°C. The joined article is obtained by nipping the brazing material in a foil, powder or paste-like form between both the materials and then heating the combination in a non-oxygen atmosphere.
