PURPOSE: To save labor for a construction work of a tunnel or the like by easily joining together members such as segments.
CONSTITUTION: A connecting rod 1 having a plurality of lock parts 3 is provided on one side of segment 5a of segments 5 to be connected to each other. The other side of segment 5b is provided with a connecting cylinder 2 in which the connecting rod 1 is fitted. The lock part 3 is constituted of balls 3a axially movably supported in a groove part formed along the circumferential direction on a rod body la consituting the connecting rod 1, and an energization member 7 pressingly energizing the balls 3a on the forward side in the fitting direction of the connecting rod 1. The bottom face of the groove part is formed into a taper face inclining outward in the radial direction in order toward the forward side in the fitting direction of the connecting rod 1. The connecting cylinder 2 is formed out of softer material than that of the ball 3a.
