To provide a joining method by which members can be joined with a sufficient welding strength without requiring high temperature and high pressure and by which crack or separation of members and generation of irreversible change can be prevented.
The method includes: a process of thermal-spraying and forming a metallic glass layer on the surface of two members; a process of heating the metallic glass layer of each member to make the metallic glass layers a supercooled liquid temperature region; and a process of plastically flowing the metallic glass layers by pressurizing the metallic glass layers of the members in a mutually superposed state in the supercooled liquid temperature region of the metallic glass layers. The surface roughness Ra on the surface of the metallic glass layers is ≥2 μm.
