Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a structure for a wood shaft by a simple method as far as possible without using both the complicate framework of the wood shaft and an expensive facility required for the framework.
SOLUTION: Mutual structures for wood shafts are connected through a fitting 7 fitting the hollow sections of the structures for the wood shafts having penetrating hollow sections in the axial direction. Either of natural wood, laminated wood or a composite material mainly comprising crushed wood can be used as the material of the structure for the wood shaft at that time, and it is suitable that the cross section of a right angle in the axial direction is surrounded by a regular tetragon as a form. An iron core can also be introduced into the penetrating hollow section. An I-shaped and L-shaped square pipe with boltholes, an L-shaped square pipe and a square pipe erected at the crossed section of the L-shaped square pipe, a T-shaped square pipe, etc., can be employed as the fitting 7. Aseismicity is considered in the joining method, the structure for the wood shaft can be connected simply and excellently economically, and the labor of joining works can be saved.
