Title:
JOINING METHOD USING INSERT MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63194879
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a joint having a remelting temperature higher than a joining temperature by heating the joint at a temperature where a kind of metallic insert material of composite insert materials is not molten and another kind of metallic insert materials are molten.

CONSTITUTION: The joint is heated in the temperature range where only the low melting point insert materials 2 are molten and the high melting point insert material 3 is not molten by a heater 4 for heating and the low melting point insert materials 2 are reacted on the high melting point insert material 3 and materials 1 to be joined. Then, the low melting point insert materials 2 are pressed in a state having the liquid phase so that the surfaces to be joined of the materials 1 to be joined are stuck fast to each other and the liquid phase is discharged. In this way, the joint is solidified isothermally after several minutes. Further, when the temperature is continued to be maintained, In in the low melting point insert materials 2 is diffused in the high melting point insert material 3 and reduced and the melting point of the low melting point insert materials 2 further rises. Since the joint having the rewelding temperature higher than the joining temperature is obtained, the next joining without melting a part which is already joined under the same joining temperature can be repeated many times.
