Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of cracks and holes within a welded range.SOLUTION: A joining method for welding a junction of a carrier plate 2 and a base plate 3, which are so located as to face each other on a common rotation axis X in order to support a pinion gear of a planetary gear set, along a border line Im1 of the junction by electron beam welding is so configured that a start point Ps and an end point Pe of a weldment range are set on the border line Im1 of the joint between an outer periphery 211 of a leg 21 of the carrier plate 2 and an inner periphery 311 on an outer diameter side of an open hole 31 of the base plate 3, an irradiation position of electron beam EB is displaced along the border line Im1 from the start point Ps toward the end point Pe, and thereafter, is displaced in a direction separating from ine Im1, and thus, irradiation of electron beam EB is terminated at an irradiation end point Px which is set to a position separated from the border line Im1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
