PURPOSE: To obtain joined structure of considerably improved brazing strength and its stability by plating a metal or alloy which is easy to wet with brazing filler metal on the joining surfaces of wristwatch parts made of stainless steel, then brazing the parts.
CONSTITUTION: After the hairline finishing of a case hand 2 of the above-described wristwatch parts and the buffing of an upper case are respectively carried out, both are coated with plastics over the entire part, and further only the brazing and joining surfaces are removed by machining or grinding. Next, a metal or alloy, for example, Ni, which is easy to wet with a brazing filler metal 4 is plated on said joining surfaces, then the plastic coating is removed by using a solvent. Thence, the case band 2 and the upper case band 1 after the above-described treatment are set, and the joining surfaces of both are brazed in an oxidation-free atmosphere of 700W 850°C. For example, an Au-Ag-Cu-Sn alloy is used for the brazing filler metal 4.
