Abstract:
To provide a joint structure for steel pipe piles that does not require welding work in not only a construction site but also a factory and has a few number of components, and whose joint structure is simple so that workability during joint work is brilliant, and in which ensuring the quality of joining is also easy.SOLUTION: The present invention includes a short joint pipe 5, for joining a lower pile steel pipe 3 and an upper pile steel pipe 4 facing each other, fitted into their inner surfaces. The joint pipe is an aluminum pipe that is extraction-molded so that the cross-sectional shape has one or more partition-shaped walls (diameter walls 6, for example) in a manner in which the partition-shaped wall crosses the cross-section of the joint pipe, and on which alumite treatment has been performed. Through-bolts 8 penetrating the lower pile steel pipe and the upper pile steel pipe are inserted into bolt insertion holes drilled in the pipe wall and the partition-shaped wall of the joint pipe 5 in the pile steel pipes, and are fastened by nuts 9 screwed to tips of the respective through-bolts so that the upper and lower pile steel pipes are joined via the joint pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
